In contemporary popular leisure trends, modern restaurants have been innovative regarding all aspects of the restaurant business, such as food, leisure, and consumption, thus evolving into cafes with unique characteristics and styles, which differ greatly from traditional restaurants. In order to meet consumers' preferences of delicious food and beautiful decor, many new cafes have opened, and new cafe dishes are introduced. The first impression of the menu content alone can determine the success or failure of a cafe. Although not all newly opened cafes are successful, opening a cafe is still an entrepreneur dream for many people. In Japan, it is commonly believed that cafe is equal to gourmet food, which is also often the key to sustainable management of a cafe. However, how is the menu content decided? As the menu content cannot satisfy all guests, cafés have their own operating strategies to determine the structure of a menu. This study aims to explore the decision making of cafe operators to create a high-business-strategy menu, and use Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to discuss the selection of cafe menus to help the cafés achieving sustainable development. The research methods included literature review, expert interview, and AHP. The findings can serve as references to café operators.Keywords

This study collected and analyzed Light-Emitting Diode (LED) parameters (forward conduction voltage VF, reversed breakdown voltage, and reversed linkage current) and output information in testing LED back-end process and packaging. Moreover, it developed a remote control operation platform using LabVIEW of national instruments (NI), and provided an interface for user operation, data storage analysis, and specification evaluation. Accordingly, a remote real-time process monitoring and automatic production specification checking mechanism can be developed to replace traditional manual quality control operation, which directly deliver light-emitting diodes, while reducing high labor and production costs. Through evaluation of the proposed real-time process capability, the collected light-emitting diode parameters are automatically adjusted to the production specifications, which meet the process capability and are returned to the testing instrument in real time. The products can thus meet the process capability of the batch, the rework rate can be effectively reduced, and the passing rate of delivery quality control can be improved. The proposed remote real-time process monitoring and automatic production specification checking mechanism can analyze and evaluate production specification data, and monitor and store historical data for the long term in conjunction with the database system. Moreover, the light-emitting diode can be automatically checked by the evaluation process capability in order to improve production technology and process parameters. Thus, a solution for the optimization of light-emitting diode parameter specifications can be established to promote effective management of production equipment, improve production efficiency, and integrate production flow.Keywords

In recent years, many new cafes have emerged onto the market. Other than view cafes, beautiful cafes that seem as if they came from Paris or New York have gradually appeared in leisure and quiet residential areas, in alleyways, in peripheral areas, and in local commercial areas. In particular, leisure is trendy at present, and modern restaurants innovate in terms of their food, leisure, and consumption. Unlike traditional restaurants, they are able to develop into cafes with unique styles to attract consumers. Even though not all of these new cafes are successful, as cafes are an industry that is at the forefront of fashion, many individuals who dream of entrepreneurship would want to open a cafe. However, as there are many types of cafes on the market, what type and style of cafes are the most suitable? An overview of cafes in Taiwan shows that each cafe offer unique services and functions to attract consumers, which is the key to sustainable operations of cafes. Therefore, this study explores the decisions of companies when choosing the style for their cafes. This study uses the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to explore the selection of cafe styles, in order to provide references for cafe operators to achieve successful and sustainable operations. Based on literature review, expert interviews, and AHP, this study intends to provide useful results to the operators of cafes.Keywords

This study intends to investigate the mate selection criteria and weights of unmarried female junior high school teachers in Taiwan. This study used the Delphi method to clarify mate selection criteria. The primary assessment criteria included 4 items: social condition, personal condition, emotional condition, and family background. The secondary assessment criteria included 24 items. This study used AHP to determine that, among the primary assessment criteria, the order of importance is, as follows: emotional condition, personal condition, social condition, and family background. Among the secondary assessment criteria, the order of importance of the top 10 is, as follows: carefulness and meticulousness, tenderness and thoughtfulness, sense of safety, parents are alive and healthy, health status, conviction record, birth order, monthly income, sense of humor, and value.Keywords

Travel agencies should be able to judge the market demand for tourism to develop sales plans accordingly. However, many travel agencies lack the ability to judge the market demand for tourism, and thus make risky business decisions. Based on the above, this study applied the Artificial Neural Network combined with the Genetic Algorithm (GA) to establish a prediction model of air ticket sales revenue. GA was used to determine the optimum number of input and hidden nodes of a feedforward neural network. The empirical results suggested that the mean absolute relative error(MARE) of the proposed hybrid model's predicted value of air ticket sales revenue and the actual value was 10.51%and the correlation coefficient was 0.913. The proposed model had good predictive capability and could provide travel agency operators with reliable and highly efficient analysis data.Keywords
